A focused start. A broader product.
SimpleDocs started with NDAs. The goal was to make them easier for legal teams and the people who rely on them. Telos helped build that first product, AutoNDA, and then worked on the contract management features that came after it.
As the product grew, it took on other parts of the same problem. Lawyers wanted to review documents in the tools they already used. Businesses needed to know what was in the contracts they held. And enterprise customers needed SimpleDocs to work with their identity systems, access rules, and regional requirements.
Telos's role grew to match. The team has worked on product strategy, experience design, application development, integrations, and AI engineering. Jordan Trevino, Telos's founder, is also SimpleDocs's co-founder and CTO, so SimpleDocs gets his technical leadership along with Telos's product, design, and engineering team.
Each stage introduced a new kind of work

Start with a complete contracting workflow.
The first product brought NDA requests, agreement preparation, approvals, signatures, and storage into a connected process. The platform then expanded to support custom templates and more varied contracting requirements.

Bring review into Microsoft Word.
SimpleAI introduced playbook-based review, document questions, drafting, and redlining inside Word. Related work brought AI capabilities to Law Insider's users, with an experience connected to their existing legal research workflows.

Make the contract collection useful.
Repository intelligence added document imports, extracted fields, search, and AI-assisted analysis. Further work connected agreements with their amendments, renewals, and related documents.

Build the systems behind continued growth.
Integrations, workspaces, regional deployments, and identity controls supported broader organizational use. Prompt versioning and evaluations gave the engineering team a structured way to assess changes to AI behavior.

SimpleDocs combines contract workflows with a repository. SimpleAI is the AI tool inside Microsoft Word that these case studies cover. Telos also helped build AI features for Law Insider, using Law Insider's legal research platform and contract data.
The case studies show what Telos built and where the products overlap. Law Insider's underlying research corpus remains an important, separately attributable part of that story.
